This is primarily a spacious, well-maintained mobile home community with some spaces converted for RVs. Very quiet. THERE ARE NO SHOWER/RESTROOMS! Sites are very spacious with concrete patios, either under large trees or some in the open for satellite access. Staff is very friendly. Rate is based on monthly rate. Just minutes from Stone Mountain park, and great rate for an extended stay.

Rate was with KOA Gold (15%). At first I was surprised they did not offer a weekly rate, but after staying there, not sure anyone would want to stay that long. Can you say N-O-I-S-E? Turns out the campground is right under the flight path of fighter jets training out of a Naval Air Station just a couple of miles away. It starts at 8am SHARP and seemed to regularly go to 9:30pm, but one night until almost midnight. I'd never go back for that reason alone.

This campground has more space set aside for tenting than Rvs, but they are in separate areas. The campground is wedged between the river and an elevated highway, so there is some traffic noise, especially heavy trucks. The riverside sites would lessen this I suspect. The sites are mainly dirt, and when busy, rigs are pretty close. It is primarily wooded, so satellite reception is doubtful, though we were able to get DirecTV in site 114. They do have fast wireless internet, at least in the sites in front of the office, probably off their cable provider. The canoe/kayaking operation is very well run and makes the place pretty busy. If you are passing through and need a place to stay for a day or two, or wanting to take advantage of the river, an excellent choice. The staff is very friendly.

We were happy with our stay. Not much shade, but that's the way we like it to get satellite reception. As someone said earlier, a lot of Canadians stay here, including in many seasonal sites, but I found the resident workers very friendly and accommodating. They also have cabins, but many of the sites (mostly grass) have only 30 amps, many with no sewer. Seems almost half the place is seasonal sites with various types of RVs setup permanently, but they are neat and in good repair. There is a bit of noise from the nearby freeway.

We DID NOT stay here. We were looking for a place south of the Catskills that had open sites for satellite reception, and was reasonably priced (if you have Passport America, half price Sun-Thu). We just didn't like the looks of the place. It was run down and just looked junky as you pull up. Admittedly the playground looks nice and the pool looked clean. Once you drive past the office, the paved road turns into a rough gravel road that is almost just a two-track. Seems to be a lot of seasonal sites.

This park is 60% seasonals, giving it a cluttered look as most of the seasonal units stay in place and have a variety of outdoor living and storage arrangements. The park has grown over time and the sites are either grass, dirt or gravel and it overall has a rustic feel. The maze of roadways in the park are a little confusing, some with trees creating tight turns, and the map is not accurate. We had trouble navigating in our big rig and ended up getting a scratch on the side. It does have a lot to offer if you look at their web site, and the price is right. We chose a site with 30 amp/water only because it was in a spacious field that provided privacy and satellite reception.

This park is decent, but a little rough around the edges. A lot of long-term renters. Many of the sites are shaded by low trees. Some are open giving satellite access. I told them what I needed when I reserved, and they did save me an open site. Sites are gravel with paved roads, some paved parking and grass between most sites. I would not hesitate to come again if I really needed a place to park (which I did this time because of the Memorial Day weekend). There are some train tracks nearby, so we will see how disturbing that is.

Well kept park with mostly gravel, level sites. Some seem to have concrete pads for a patio area. There are shrubs, but no grass or shade trees. The pull-thru sites still take a bit of maneuvering to get aligned, and there is not room to leave a toad connected.

Only $10 with Passport America. This is a no-frills nightly stopover park just off I-10, far enough to not be noisy. All the sites are pull-thru with no need to disconnect. The sites are all gravel, nicely spaced with young trees. The parks are well behind a "saloon," gas station/convenience store, and cafe. There is also adjoining parking for truckers that I assume could also be used for overnight boondocking if you just need a place to park and sleep. Otherwise, not much else around.

I can agree that the owners are VERY friendly and helpful. The lower sites have grass and trees, while the upper, newer sites were gravel. Getting in and out with a 40-foot rig and toad was no problem, regardless of earlier comments of tight corners. The park is very convenient to Coulee Dam and the overlook.

If you like serenity and being in the woods, this is the campground for you! We stayed here in off season and during the week, and there was hardly anyone there. The lake is just minutes away along well-maintained hiking trails, though in the northern park (where w/e hookups are) there isn't a beach for swimming. The south area has a nice day area with a beach. A dump station is conveniently located at the entrance to the northern campground. We were able to negotiate the northern area with a 40-foot rig and toad. Don't try it in the south, however. Roads are tight, rough, with very sharp curves. The restrooms were very clean, hot showers 50 cents for 3 minutes. The only problem we had was one leg of our 50amp circuit was not hot and they didn't seem to know how to fix it. There is a small convenience store, cafe and bar nearby, but not much else.

This RV Park and Marina is located at the tip of a peninsula on Fern Ridge Lake. Used for flood control, the lake is normally only full Apr to Oct. Approximately 75% of the sites (and all waterfront sites) are permanent, but very neat and well kept. The sites are relatively level gravel with a small cement patio, storage shed and plenty of grass. The sites are spaced more widely apart than average. Some sites offer shade, some sun and are satellite friendly. There is a boat ramp, swimming area, and large grassy open areas.
